The food and service were wonderful! I dined there while on a work trip. It was close to the Hyatt House hotel, walkable. The staff were nice, helpful, and the food choices were phenomenal. Please dine here if you are staying in the area or make a point to dine here if you live nearby.

Excellent sushi bar, friendly, fresh and fast. I recommend any of their yellowtail rolls!

Went here as a spur of the moment decision and was surprisingly satisfied! Although the only thing we had was the sushi and sashimi assortment, our experience here earned the stars itself. All of the cuts of fish were decently sized, although my least favorite was the medium fatty tuna pieces since they had a more metallic iron-y taste in my opinion, which you would typically expect in leaner cuts of tuna, not ones that are "medium" fatty. The complimentary miso soup and kizami wasabi served on the side was a nice touch. Nevertheless, the service was outstanding and we were well taken care of. I don't usually go to that area of Katy looking for sushi but this is a nice casual spot to try out (and I hope to circle back to for a taste of their other dishes to give an updated review).

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Katy! My fiancé and I have become regulars. The staff is so sweet and attentive. The food is delicious and fresh. Our favorite items are the spicy edamame, "girl on the beach" roll, "threes company" roll, the spicy miso ramen, and the "mafia kiss" cocktail. You will not regret trying this place out!

I would like to add to my original review. On January 24, we celebrated my father-in-law's 90th birthday at Mafia Sushi. There were 25 of us, several of whom traveled from the east coast. They gave us a wonderful semi-private spot close to the bar . We came in a couple of hours early to decorate the space. We couldn't have asked for more help from the owner Jimmy, his employees, Min, Leon, and the rest of his staff to make sure the celebration was perfect . That's exactly what it was. Mafia Sushi is located in Katy China Town. It is a bit inconspicuous from the outside, a little unassuming. However, whenever you enter, you are met with a clean, well-kept restaurant with quick service and a huge menu. Parking is easy with plenty of spaces in shopping center. Upon sitting down, a server almost immediately took my drink order and then brought miso soup to the table. The menu was a bit overwhelming - THERE WERE SO MANY CHOICES! From sushi, to sashimi, to hand rolls, to warm entrees, Mafia Sushi has everything. I decided to order the cucumber salad for a starter. Side note: I always order cucumber salad when it is on the menu - this particular salad made it into my top 2 (the other is at Taizzi Sushi)! It was served with shredded imitation crab on top and pickled to perfection. 10 out of 10 would order again. My friend ordered the crab Rangoons which were fried a nice golden brown, crunch on the outside and creamy on the inside, served with sweet and sour sauce. I also ordered the Girl on the Beach sushi roll - Shrimp, avocado and shrimp salad topped with fresh tuna, masago, sesame sauce, chili oil & eel sauce. Fresh and super tasty! I left feeling satisfied. For the price, I definitely thought Mafia Sushi was well-worth the trip into Katy from Houston Med Center. Good food, good service, and a good time!

One of our favorite sushi spots! Just updating my last review. Service is always a 10/10 and staff are always so kind when we visit! The nigiri is very fresh & don't forget the fresh wasabi to top some of it off. We tried a seared toro today and I think that's going to be a staple in our orders for the future. It's the best balance of fat and it tastes almost like meat if that makes sense? Very umami in my opinion. Mafia sushi will always be one of our top favorites for nigiri!

Excellent experience here. The owner manager was super nice and welcoming. He checked in on us throughout the meal. Super friendly. The waitress was just as great. Nice establishment. Clean and lots of windows. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Probably the best spider roll we've ever had. The crispy rice tuna was amazing. Loved it.

Wow, this is really good. You start by sitting in comfy chairs and are served a quick bowl of miso to refresh while looking at the menu Then I ordered my safe haven, chirashi style bowl and my wife ordered some kind of super salad. Bothe meals came out in time and were amazing! I so plan to return. Maybe Saturday?
